Palin At The Rubicon As She Floats Idea Of Leaving Republican Party

Posted on 3:56 PM by Unknown

First-Here is the Rubicon in view:

When asked Saturday about the possibility of leaving the GOP and forming a new party, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin suggested that she was open to the possibility and said others could be as well if the Republican Party continues to abandon its conservative principles.
Palin was responding to a Fox News viewer’s question on Twitter about the possibility of her and talk show host Mark Levin abandoning the Republican Party and creating a new “Freedom Party,” as reported by the Daily Caller.

Josh Painter (I-TX) @Josh_Painter

@ANHQDC @SarahPalinUSA @UmaPemmaraju Would you & Mark Levin be willing to build a "Freedom Party" if GOP continues to ignore conservatives?

I love the name of that party — the ‘Freedom Party,’” Palin commented before saying:
And if the GOP continues to back away from the planks in our platform, from the principles that built this party of Lincoln and Reagan, then yeah, more and more of us are going to start saying, ‘You know, what’s wrong with being independent,’ kind of with that libertarian streak that much of us have, she continued.
In other words, we want government to back off and not infringe upon our rights. I think there will be a lot of us who start saying ‘GOP, if you abandon us, we have nowhere else to go except to become more independent and not enlisted in a one or the other private majority parties that rule in our nation, either a Democrat or a Republican.’
Remember these are private parties, and you know, no one forces us to be enlisted in either party.

Gov. Palin on ANHQ: Amnesty bill is an absolute betrayal of the will of the people and the rule of law

Video retrieved from sarahnettoo.
Governor Palin talked with Uma Pemmaraju on ANHQ today at noon.  Asked why she thought Republicans caved in by passing the Senate amnesty bill, Governor Palin said that she thought the Republicans and Democrats who caved in to Obama’s wishes to legalize illegal aliens showed lack of principle and of respect for the rule of law.  She said,  “This was an absolute betrayal of working class Americans who do respect the rule of law and legal immigrants who have come here and stood in line and paid their dues, if you will, and become new Americans.”
Governor Palin said that the bill was rushed through and does not solve any of the problems with illegal immigration and is an “absolute betrayal of the will of the people and the rule of law.”  She said that there will be problems with the amnesty bill just as there have been with Obamacare, which was also rushed through without being read by most of those who voted on it, and that that is quite unfortunate.
Asked what she thought of Obama’s response this week over concerns about Snowden that he was “in no rush to pick up what he described as simply a hacker,”  Governor Palin said that the problem is that the government has lied to us and it took Snowden to disclose that they are spying on our communications.  However, she said, ”if he has violated the law, he needs to get back here and answer to the rule of law, because we are still a nation that respects the rule of law, right?  Even though the Amnesty Bill just thwarted all of that.”  She said Obama’s choosing to “lead from behind” on this issue just reflects the Community Organizer in Obama,  a lackadaisical attitude that he doesn’t have to take responsibilty.  His resume, she said, proves that he hasn’t had to take responsibility for much over the years.
In answer to viewer Josh Page’s question whether she and Mark Levin would be “willing to build a Freedom Party if the GOP continues to ignore conservatives,” she said that she loved the name “Freedom Party,” and “if the GOP continues to back away from the planks in our platform, from the principles that built this party of Lincoln and of Reagan” that more and more may choose not to be enlisted in either the Democrat or Republican private majority parties.  “No one forces us to be enlisted in either party.”

Gov. Palin: Hope Rubio’s call from Obama was worth 30 pieces of silver

Governor Palin tweeted this a few minutes ago:

by  Breitbart News   28 Jun 2013, 1:59 PM PDT

On Friday, President Obama took time out from his trip to Africa tocall members of Senate’s so-called “Gang of Eight,” including Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), to congratulate them on the immigration reform bill that passed the Senate on Thursday in a 68-32 vote.

Obama was unable to actually reach Rubio. Obama also called Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) to push him to take up the Senate’s immigration reform package.

Please take a look at the article linked below to understand how the amnesty bill the Senate passed yesterday is a sad betrayal of working class Americans of every ethnicity who will see their wages lowered and their upward mobility lowered too. And yet we still do not have a secured border. This Senate-approved amnesty bill rewards lawbreakers and won’t solve any problems – as the CBO report notes that millions of more illegal immigrants will continue to flood the U.S. in coming years.
————–
Great job, GOP establishment. You’ve just abandoned the Reagan Democrats with this amnesty bill, and we needed them to “enlarge that tent” of which you so often speak. It’s depressing to consider that the House of Representatives is threatening to pass some version of this nonsensical bill in the coming weeks.
—————-
Once again, I’ll point out the obvious to you: it was the loss of working class voters in swing states that cost us the 2012 election, not the Hispanic vote. Legal immigrants respect the rule of law and can see how self-centered a politician must be to fill this amnesty bill with favors, earmarks, and crony capitalists’ pork, and call it good. You disrespect Hispanics with your assumption that they desire ignoring the rule of law.
—————-
Folks like me are barely hanging on to our enlistment papers in any political party – and it’s precisely because flip-flopping political actions like amnesty force us to ask how much more bull from both the elephants in the Republican Party and the jackasses in the Democrat Party we have to swallow before these political machines totally abandon the average commonsense hardworking American. Now we turn to watch the House. If they bless this new “bi-partisan” hyper-partisan devastating plan for amnesty, we’ll know that both private political parties have finally turned their backs on us. It will then be time to show our parties’ hierarchies what we think of being members of either one of these out-of-touch, arrogant, and dysfunctional political machines.

Palin: Immigration Bill Targets American Workers

by    Stephen K. Bannon & Tony Lee27 Jun 2013

On Sunday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin denounced the Senate’s immigration bill in an exclusive opinion piece for Breitbart News. One week before that, though, Palin laid out a promise and a warning to her own party in a speech to the Faith and Freedom Coalition conference in Washington, D.C. She said Americans do not deserve the exceptional country its founding fathers left them if they do not keep faith with the working class. And she said that that faith would be lost if the the Gang of Eight’s bill, passed by the Senate on Thursday, became law.

Her words are especially important as the immigration fight heads to the House, where Republican leaders have signaled they want “action” even if they do not take up the Senate bill.
At the Faith and Freedom Coalition, Palin said the voices of those in America’s working class “can reach millions of other patriots of all races, color, and creed who also value the dignity and opportunity of freedom.”
“They are the brave, having kept faith with everything we love about this land of the free,” Palin said. “And we will have no hope of reclaiming this country and we will deserve it even less if we fail to keep faith with them.”
Palin warned, “That is the message our leaders, especially those leaders in the GOP, need to understand…You do not marginalize, you do not discredit and dismiss everyday, average hard-working Americans.”
Not even 24 hours after Palin spoke, Ryan Lizza, a reporter for the liberal New Yorker magazine, revealed on June 16 that staff for Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), the leading face behind the push for “comprehensive immigration reform,” denigrated American workers, adopting the mentality of the donors and chamber of commerce fervently backing the immigration bill.
As Breitbart News wrote, two members of Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-FL) staffdisparaged American workers to Lizza, telling him there are American workers who “just can’t cut it” across “every sector.” Days later, a devastating Congressional Budget Office report concluded that the Senate’s immigration bill would lower wages and raise the unemployment rate in an economy that is nowhere near healthy.
On Tuesday, Palin fired back, specifically mentioning to Breitbart News that she would like to see Rubio (R-FL) and Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) primaried for turning their back on voters and supporting the Senate’s amnesty bill even though they promised they would put border security before amnesty while campaigning in 2010.
“Conservatives are getting ready for the 2014 and 2016 primaries. We have long memories, and there will be consequences for those who break campaign promises and vote for this amnesty bill,” Palin told Breitbart News. “Competition makes everyone work harder, be better, and be held accountable. This applies to politics, too. No one is ‘entitled’ to anything.”
She continued, “Rigorous debate in competitive primaries allows candidates the opportunity to explain their flip-flops. So think of contested primaries as a win-win for politicians and their voters.”
“Every politician should be held accountable for breaking their campaign promises,” Palin said to John Gibson on Fox News radio on Tuesday. “They turned their back on the American public, so why should they not be held accountable?”
Palin is leading the charge on immigration, but she is not alone. Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh has unmasked the motives of those behind the immigration bill last week, denouncing the “big money” donors, consultants, and the crony capitalists who just want an unending supply of cheap labor and do not care about America’s working class.
“I think a number of elected Republicans are taking a look at their donors, and are listening to their consultants, and they are seeing that people that are donating big amounts of money to them want amnesty,” Limbaugh said, adding, “there is a growing phenomenon in this country of crony capitalism taking place.”
——————–
[...]
——————–
Last Friday, a panelist on Fox News’s Hannity’s panel of black conservatives, which included Sirius XM Patriot’s David Webb and Breitbart’s Sonnie Johnson, emphasized that the Senate’s immigration bill would have a “detrimental impact” on black Americans.
Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), one of the most critical opponents of the immigration bill, noted that the bill would hurt working class Hispanics in addition to all working class Americans and the “poorest among us.” Sessions noted that according to the CBO report, the bill would have a devastating impact on wages of Americans looking for job security, and it would raise the unemployment rate while only solving 25% of the illegal immigration problem. He posited that between 30 million and 50 million workers will be added to the labor force in the next ten years, completely destroying the possibility of upward mobility of working class Americans of all backgrounds. Yet, Republican senators like Murkowski (R-AK), Rubio (R-FL), Ayotte (R-NH), McCain (R-AZ), and Graham (R-SC) voted for the final bill.
“Why would any Member of Congress want to vote for a bill at a time of high unemployment, falling wages?” Sessions asked on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday.
The answer, as Palin emphasized, is because leadership in Washington, D.C. has morphed into a permanent political class that puts its own well-being and prerogatives first. At the Faith and Freedom Coalition conference, Palin denounced the current spate of Washington scandals as being part of a greater disease. She said neither party was immune because the “good ol’ boys in leadership on both sides of the aisle” perpetuate the problem.
Palin spoke about a government that “has grown so arrogant it thinks we work for it instead of it working for us.” And she denounced those in the permanent political class who have “religious faith in government and elitist disdain for the rights of We the People.”
Palin spoke glowingly of America’s working people: “I’ve met them. Been in their homes. They’ve been in mine,” Palin said at the conference. “I’ve served them moose chili and blueberry pie. They are the rock upon which we will build this new majority.”
As the documentary film “The Undefeated” chronicled, Palin has always been a citizen-politician, having started out in politics by running for city council, then becoming a mayor of her home town before being appointed as the chair of the Alaska Oil & Gas Conservation Commission, where she earned the respect of ordinary Alaskans by blowing the whistle on corruption in her own party. She then ultimately became Alaska’s reform-minded governor—after rocking the Alaska Republican political establishment in 2006 by defeating the incumbent Republican governor and former Alaska senator Frank Murkowski in the primary.
The former Republican vice presidential nominee reminded Republicans on Sunday in her Breitbart News piece that these working class Americans are the voters who, despite their dislike of Obama, sat out the 2012 election because they did not think Mitt Romney was one of them or would fight for them.
“These would be the same blue-collar working class voters of every ethnicity who chose to sit home in 2012 instead of turning out to vote in the swing states we needed to carry in order to stop Barack Obama’s promised ‘fundamental transformation’ of America,” Palin wrote. “I note this just as a helpful reminder to those who believe the hyperventilated new hype claiming that conservatives need to support this bill in order to win future elections. That’s 100% wrong.”
She’s right. As Byron York of the Washington Examiner noted, Romney would not have won the election even if he had won a mind-boggling 70% of the Hispanic vote (Obama won 71% of the Hispanic vote in 2012).
Yet, had 389,821 more working class voters in four states (149,298 in Virginia,74,309 in Florida, 166,214 in Ohio and 39,643 in New Hampshire) turned out for Romney, he would have defeated Obama with 270 electoral votes to Obama’s 268.
Further, a May 2013 Center for Immigration Studies report found that, based on newly-released Census data, 4.7 million fewer whites–4.2 million of whom lacked a college education–voted in 2012 than in 2004.
“As Republicans think about how they can expand their voter base, the new data suggest that one of their biggest problems in the last presidential election was that so many less-educated whites sat home,” said Steven Camarota, the Center’s Director of Research and author of the report. “These voters, who have been hard hit by the recession, have traditionally supported Republicans. It seems likely that by supporting the Schumer-Rubio amnesty, GOP legislators would further alienate these voters.”
The study found that had Romney increased his share of the white vote by just three percentage points (59% to 62%), he would have won the popular vote.
For Republicans to win back the majority and the presidency, they need to win the so-called Reagan Democrats and a new generation of working class minorities who will have to become Reagan Democrats 2.0. They need to win over the father who got laid off from his manufacturing job and has a child who did everything society said to do–go to college, get a degree, find a decent-paying job in the technology industry–and now may meet the same fate his father did when the labor market is flooded with an influx of cheap immigrant labor brought to do jobs Americans supposedly do not want to do.
These Americans that the immigration bill most adversely impacts make up the backbone of this country and see in Washington a permanent political class who are against them and think they “can’t cut it.” They see in Palin, though, someone who fights for them because she simply “gets” it–and them.

If The Palin Of 2013 Had Run In 2008 The McCain/Palin Team Would Have....

Posted on 1:46 PM by Unknown
If The Palin of 2013 Had Run In 2008 The McCain/Palin team would have still lost. Today's Palin, who has gone a number of 15 round all in battles with the media, is a toughened sharp and savvy warrior and would have handed Gibson and Couric their collective backsides in 2008.

To "what is your opinion of the Bush doctrine"? She could have replied "why are you asking me a question that 99% of the population has no idea what you are referring to? And in point of fact, there is no formal "Bush doctrine."

It is almost cringe making to imagine how the 2013 Palin would have replied to Couric's "what do you read" but I would envisage something along the lines of "why are you asking me such a stupid question-are you implying that  everyone outside the Beltway is illiterate?"

Unfortunately Palin was ill prepared for the media duplicity and sheer hate that came her way. She was not prepared for it because of some lack of intelligence, or understanding of the world, but because of her own innate values.

Someone who lived a life of honesty, trust, and good fellowship, might hardly believe that what the leftist media  and Democrat's did was even possible. The Palin of today, the one who told Bill O'Reilly to "stop butting in" however would be formidable, in fact it is frightening to consider the mass of jelly that some would quiver into.

But even if today's Palin had run in 2008 the ticket would still have lost. The left, grudgingly, admits that Palin took McCain into the lead post convention, but the lead drifted down to the point where McCain and Obama were exactly tied. Then the financial collapse came and there was nothing Palin could do to put McCain in the lead again-especially so when her own team was acting against her.

People forget just how far behind McCain was before Palin came on board-a huge eight points. After Palin rocked the world at the convention, all that and more was made up, and McCain/Palin went into a three point lead- a massive eleven point turnaround. Post election study showed, refuting leftist propaganda, that Palin had a positive effect on the McCain result

If the financial collapse had not eventuated, it is more than likely that  McCain's lead would have evaporated and he would have trailed Obama on election day. The Bush years legacy was just too much to overcome. That, allied to the media onslaught and the determination of the Black community to elect Obama, made winning impossible.

The financial crisis, McCain's odd suspension of his campaign, his poor debate performances and the muzzling of Palin just made matters worse. If the GFC had not happened, the result would have been probably exactly the same as the Obama/Romney result in the Electoral College. North Carolina and Indiana would have stayed in the GOP's column and the popular vote margins could have been more or less the same. It seems impossible that McCain could have won Florida/Virginia/Ohio/Iowa/Colorado when Romney couldn't four years later.

That's history. Looking to the future, if Palin chooses to run and was the 2016 standard bearer it would be a different, hard hitting with the media, unmuzzled Palin who could easily take on the likes of Hillary Clinton.

Acting President Palin Destroys Gang of 8's Amnesty Bill/Calls Out Rubio/Makes Memorable Quote

Posted on 8:12 PM by Unknown
In an incredible display of leadership, pure guts and deep insight Sarah palin called out the Marco Rubio for his hypocritical flip-flopping, and devastated the "Gang of Eight's amnesty/porous border surrender bill. And all in one day!

Palin is proving her dictum "you don't need to hold office to make a difference' as she uses her massive following and the unparalleled moral force behind her words to strike fear into the left and flip-flopping right in equal measure. Oh, and along the way adding to here list of, as the University of New Orleans  (LINK) has termed it, quotes which belong with the immortals.

Here is an an excerpt from Palin's attack on the amnesty bill, the calling out of Rubio and her latest quote ( "The most responsive and responsible level of government is the most local,") for the ages. Acting  president and woman of Thatcherite courage. We are privileged to be living in an age which has produced such a person.

"Just like they did with Obamacare, some in Congress intend to “Pelosi” the amnesty bill. They’ll pass it in order to find out what’s in it. And just like the unpopular, unaffordable Obamacare disaster, this pandering, rewarding-the-rule-breakers, still-no-border-security, special-interests-ridden, 24-lb disaster of a bill is not supported by informed Americans.

I am an ardent supporter of legal immigration. I’m proud that our country is so desirable that it has been a melting pot making a diverse people united as the most exceptional nation on earth for over two centuries. But I join every American with an ounce of common sense insisting that any discussion about immigration must center on a secure border. The amnesty bill before the Senate is completely toothless on border security.
It's beyond disingenuous for anyone to claim that a vote for this bill is a vote for security. Look no further than the fact that Senator Rubio and amnesty supporters nixed Senator Thune’s amendment that required the feds to finally build part of a needed security fence before moving forward on the status of illegal immigrants who’ve already broken the law to be here. And if shooting down the border fence wasn't proof enough, they blew another chance by killing Senator Paul’s “Trust But Verify” amendment which required the completion of a fence in five years and required Congress to vote on whether the border is actually secure before furthering any immigration measures. And then they blew it yet again, nixing Senator Cornyn’s “Results” amendment, which also required border enforcement standards. Now the Senate’s pro-amnesty crowd is offering a fig leaf to security via the Corker-Hoeven Amendment, but this is really nothing more than empty promises. It’s amnesty right now and border security… eh, well, someday.
If this bill was genuinely concerned with border security, it might include practical solutions for those states that live with the problem every single day. Pass-through grants could be given to border states to actually build a fence. The most responsive and responsible level of government is the most local, and since governors accept pass-throughs all the time, this is a workable solution. We could also free up more federal lands along the border to be privatized. The farmers and ranchers would have a clear incentive to keep their private property secure from the flow of illegal immigrants and/or other illegal activities trafficked across the border onto land they’d cultivate. There are plenty of other commonsense solutions, but this bill isn’t about fixing problems; it’s about amnesty at all costs."

‘Flip-flops like this’: Sarah Palin calls out Sen. Rubio for supporting amnesty

Check it out:
Palin’s tweet links to a story from TownHall.com detailing Sen. Marco Rubio’s (D-Fla.) flip-flop over amnesty for illegal immigrants.

During a debate with opponents Rep. Kendrick Meek and Gov. Charlie Crist, candidate Rubio argued that giving illegal immigrants an “earned path to citizenship,” which Crist, Sen. John McCain and former President George W. Bush had advocated, is basically amnesty.

Rubio, who won that 2010 election, is now the leading Republican in the U.S. Congress pushing for illegal aliens to be given the earned path to citizenship that he himself insisted was “code for amnesty” only three years ago.

A Little Girl lives "'And a lot of someones owe Sarah Palin a huge apology for doubting her prescient warning about death panels.'"

Posted on 9:03 PM by Unknown
From The Examiner

Sarah Murnaghan, an 10-year-old girl with Cystic Fibrosis, was given a second chance at life after a federal judge forced Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to allow the child to be on the list for a potentially life saving lung transplant.

Today, CNS News reports that after a double-lung transplant, Sarah
'was awake Friday and responding to questions by nodding to indicate yes or no. Two days earlier, she was moved from a heavy-duty breathing machine to a traditional ventilator.'
Murnaghan was given a grim diagnosis of only 'weeks to live' by doctors, as reported by John Hayward of Human Events earlier this month, but since she was not yet twelve, she was not eligible to be on the organ transplant list. The little girl unwittingly became the poster child for the argument that physicians and families alone should be responsible for individual health decisions, which should not be subjected to judgment from bureaucratic 'experts'.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius famously defended the federal government's position 'that puts children under age 12 at the bottom of the list of those who can receive donated adult lungs,' as reported by Brett Norman and Jason Millman of Politico earlier this month.
While testifying during a House hearing, Sebelius responded to Rep. Lou Barletta, who pleaded with the HHS Secretary on behalf of Sarah Murnaghan to 'suspend the rules until we look at this policy,' by saying,
“I would suggest, sir, that, again, this is an incredibly agonizing situation where someone lives and someone dies...”
Barletta countered that Murnaghan's physicians believe that the child could survive an adult lung transplant. Fortunately for Sarah, a judge ordered Sebelius to make an exception. Clearly, the little girl is not out of the woods, but now she has a fighting chance. As Hayward noted, 'And a lot of someones owe Sarah Palin a huge apology for doubting her prescient warning aboutdeath panels.'

Governor Palin Appears on ‘Cashin In’ With Eric Bolling (VIDEO)

Posted on 2:40 PM by Unknown

From Conservatives4Palin with thanks

Governor Palin had a great interview with Eric Bolling on Saturday’s episode of Cashin’ In.
With Bolling, she discussed the hot-button issues which surround the ultimate problem in D.C. putting it on the wrong side of the people.
In response to the IRS giving $70B to its union employees as bonuses despite being caught targeting conservative groups, Governor Palin says that "only in an Orwellian government would a collective bad deed be so generously rewarded" claiming it’s "just more reason" to distrust the government.
Asked if she trusts D.C., she joked: "is a bear Catholic, does the Pope live in the woods?"
She didn’t stop there.  Describing the swamp in D.C. altogether, she summated the obvious: "Washington is for sale."
She continued her criticism of President Obama saying "the Obama administration will not even push back" on the IRS union demands calling them "thugs" and rightfully pointing out that this type of "thuggery," something Obama "will not push back against" paints a bad picture for decent union brothers and sisters across the nation.
On the issue of drones, Governor Palin remains thankful to Senator Rand Paul whose filibuster asked a lot of important questions about their domestic use.  "That’s very disturbing" the Governor proclaimed to the absurd idea that any domestic drone-use can be described as "minimal," as FBI Director Mueller recently did.  "We’re going to shoot you down just a little bit" the Governor mocked in response to such a lame talking point.
On the NSA, Governor Palin said that "Snowden is not the problem, the problem is government violating our fourth amendment rights" describing her own personal agony with having her email hacked during the 2008 presidential campaign.  She described the criminal activity of government building this mountain of personal data saying that "what’s backward about this" is how Snowden is perceived as the criminal in all this.
Like many Americans, she doesn’t "trust any government that is led by Barack Obama" who remains determined to "fundamentally transform" America.  The Governor dug her heels in once again by asserting what she always has by saying a "fundamental restoration" is what’s needed to restore the trust of the American people.
As she said before, it’s all "one hot mess."  Thankfully the Governor is there to continue shining sunlight on it all.

Sarah Palin Included In The Top Ten "Quotable One Liners" In the "History of the World".

Posted on 12:20 AM by Unknown
The University of New Orleans published an article "A History Of The World — In One-Liners"
which appeared on their 89.9 New Orleans radio station.

The article noted that in Palin's recent  address to the "Faith and Freedom Conference" she "let loose a barrage of bons mots aimed at President Obama and political Washington."

The article's author, Linton Weeks then went on to advise that in the modern world the "one liner" is a strong tool in debate (he gives an example of how to counter it in the desire for ongoing dialogue).

Weeks ascribes to Palin a strong expertise in the technique, and then lists a "top ten" of notable one liners from such outstanding speakers and historical characters as Plato, JFK. MLK and Benjamin Franklin. Strong company indeed for Palin and a tribute to her rhetorical skills.

Palin's apparently immortal "one liner" is at THIS LINK-see if you can guess which one of her many outstanding remarks it is!
