Alaska connection in Kentucky

Saratoga Springs philanthropist Marylou Whitney enjoyed a day at the races in Kentucky on Saturday with former-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

The two are linked through Whitney's husband, John Hendrickson, who is from Alaska. Palin was an invited guest to the Whitney soiree in 2010, but didn't attend because of filming commitments.

For fans of Whitney's fashion, they'll notice she is wearing one of her trademark pink suits.
