Politico Analysis Shows Palin Is Possibly Even More Influential Since She Left Fox-proving Critics Wrong Once Again

Politico has an article up (linked below) considering the fate of various of the Ex-Fox personnel; "Off Fox News-On with the Show".

In their, and it must be said, pretty fair and balanced review of Sarah Palin since she left Fox, one thing is very clear-Palin's star has not diminished one iota if media coverage is the criteria. Her universal coverage is almost exactly the same but is broader.

"And even without her gig as a regular on Fox News, Palin is still garnering much of the same coverage now as she did in the first four months of this year as she did in 2012, according to the searchable Nexis database. From January-May 2012, Palin received 223 mentions in newspapers, 69 in web-based publications, such as CNN.com, Washingtonpost.com, POLITICO and USNews.com, and 563 in blogs, and her name appeared in 46 news transcripts, for a total of 901 mentions. During the same period in 2013, in her post-Fox News life, Palin’s still very much in the conversation with 118 mentions in newspapers, 55 in web-based publications, 726 in blogs and 12 in news transcripts, for a total of 911 mentions, and she also wrote an op-ed this week for the conservative website Breitbart."

This proves, once again, and seemingly ad infinitum, that the media, which gleefully predicted Palin's demise ex-Fox is wrong and Palin's political and media instincts are proven right. 

The balance of the article just reinforces this fact of political life and shows Palin's concept of using social media to get across an undistorted message was the right one.
