'The Governor has a new book out in November titled “A Happy Holiday IS a Merry Christmas:'
"Amidst the fragility of this politically correct era, it is imperative that we stand up for our beliefs before the element of faith in a glorious and traditional holiday like Christmas is marginalized and ignored. This will be a fun, festive, thought provoking book, which will encourage all to see what is possible when we unite in defense of our faith and ignore the politically correct Scrooges who would rather take Christ out of Christmas."One would have thought, judging by the leftist media/Blogosphere's response that Palin had just announced she was going to write a review of the collected works of the Marquis de Sade, or a violent attack on Michelle Obama or some other such shock horror anathema.
The range of Palin Derangement Syndrome on display went from the truly, utterly bizarre-such as this comment; "Wow, what a true fake conservative. She wants government to put Christ back into Christmas. What happened to smaller, less intrusive government. Letting the individual decide for himself, not government. Here, this false conservative is asking government to legislate."
to the childish "snark" the left is so good at to hateful obscenities. A book on the meaning of Christmas for heavens sake and in a society in which the majority profess to be Christians, and the new television series "The Bible" garners over ten million viewers.
Of course it is not the subject of the book which has caused this explosion of media hate and vile comments from the haters" which is at issue. If anyone else announced such a book was forthcoming, or e.g. Michelle Obama had there would have been utter media silence in the first instance and massive media praise in the second.
But since it was Palin, the modern Emmanuel Goldstein in skirts for the left, the drooling mob came out in force. Here are just a few samples-it being noteworthy that the media knows that if they attack Palin, or even mention her name they will get eyeballs, but with an attack the red meat gives them the big response they look for;
Here AT THIS LINK is somebody named Alexandra Petri (well named as a petri dish is used to culture bacteria) who runs "snark" from start to finish in a Washington post (naturally) piece entitled "Sarah Palin's War On Christmas Book" ("The Post" of course was so committed to "snark' they unknowingly ran a satire piece advising Palin was going to work at AlJazeera which was the laughing stock of the Blogosphere for days).
Petri admits she is obsessed with Palin, and the book will be a success, but still manages to put the boot in which her readers, (WashPost remember) love and slobber over.
Someone named David Badash at 'The New Civil Rights Movement" somehow connects Palin's proposed book with his Blog's theme and find that, mysteriously, her writing such a book somehow leads to this conclusion AT THIS LINK "Sarah Palin Writing Another Book To Prove America Was Right In 2008"
The New York Magazine which specializes (it's New York remember) in palin hit pieces reports the proposed book in a more or less straighforward manner knowing of course it's readers will jump and slash at the red meat-which of course they do AT THIS LINK
CNN never fails to bring out the haters-a more or less straightforward report receives over 300 comment ranging from the mad to the bizarre, with a few people trying to combat the crazy.
AT THIS LINK
"The International Business Times" creates a snarky title "Sarah Palin's Cranky Christmas Book...." and even finds some way of interjecting an anti-Semitic cabal comment into the Palin post-beyond bizarre
AT THIS LINK
The far left "Daily Kos" unabashedly throws their slobbering idiots red meat by simply reporting Palin's book and saying"Have at it" AT THIS LINK .
Rebecca Schoenkopf's "Wonkette" continues its recent war on Christianity with this typical post "Sarah Palin Wants You To Un-Commercialize Christmas By Buying Her Stupid Christmas Book" and comments " In a maniacal effort to appeal to the panic-stricken, anxiety-riddled, look-at-my-faith lording, self-pitying element of stupid white people upset about the blah President"

And this, Palin, is the person who is "irrelevant" but whatever she says and does is reported across America by an insatiable media which then claims Palin is a publicity seeker.But who said logic had anything to do with the left's obsession?
