A charming memory. Local Alaska television station KTVA's Channel 11 news anchors are clearly excited relaying live the historic news of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's vice-presidential nomination acceptance speech at the Republican convention in Minneapolis in 2008.
One anchor says "we all stand a little taller tonight". Lots of local color, and the pride and excitement are palpable. Hopefully we shall see this repeated for the presidency in 2016
